What is a Camlock Cold Room?

A camlock insulated panel system is commonly used in the assembly of a cold room. It consists of prefabricated insulated panels that are assembled together using camlock fasteners, hence the name “Camlock”. The camlock itself consists of two metal catches coated with an anti-corrosion treatment and fitted in high resistance PVC Casing.

Cook:Chill camlock wall and ceiling panels are made of polyurethane foam sandwiched between two food safe faces, and are designed to provide high thermal efficiency. The floor panels have a resistant coating in a non-slip phenolic resin and have a Class 3 anti-slip classification certificate.

Camlock cold rooms are used in a variety of industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and chemical storage as both chill and freeze applications. They are available in various sizes and configurations, ranging from small walk-in units to large industrial installations.

The camlock fasteners allow for easy and quick installation, disassembly, and relocation of the cold room.
